Kyte Powertech – In the heartland
Kyte Powertech is located in the county town of Cavan in the heart of Ireland. The town is close to the main M3 motorway that links Dublin to the North West of the country and is just 90 minutes journey from Dublin Port.
The area is famous for its many lakes and rolling countryside making it a favourite destination for anglers and walking enthusiasts. Cavan’s proximity to the capital city as well to Northern Ireland means it is an ideal location for a business hub and manufacturing facility such as Kyte Powertech.
Having been operating in Cavan for over 40 years, Kyte Powertech has nurtured an experienced, skilled and loyal workforce, now close to 500 people. Originating under the name of Pauwels Trafo and then later as Kyte Powertech, the company has delivered up to 376,000 transformers since 1977, while contributing over €25 million to the local economy.
The factory area covers 17,500 m² and max crane capacity of 16T with a production range up to 10MVA with an annual capacity of 6500 MVA and max voltage of 72kV. On-site there are two testbays, testing to a max BIL of 200kV and a Test Frequency of 50 – 60Hz.
The company is certified to the Quality Certificates ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 50001, ISO 17025 and ISO 45001. International Standards include IEC, ANSI, BS, UL, ENATS and the EU Commission Regulation No 548/2014
