At Kyte Powertech, we’re deeply committed to supporting the development of young talent in Ireland. That’s why we are thrilled to announce the Kyte Powertech Scholarship in Science, Engineering & Business 2025, aimed at helping Leaving Certificate students from County Cavan take the next step in their educational journey.
This scholarship is designed to support students who are passionate about science, engineering, or business and plan to study at a university or institute of technology in Ireland or Northern Ireland. We believe in the potential of local students to lead the way in these fields, and we’re here to give them the tools and opportunities they need to succeed.

The Kyte Powertech Scholarship offers more than just financial assistance. In addition to a monetary award, successful applicants will benefit from mentorship from senior Kyte Powertech leaders, who will provide invaluable advice and guidance throughout their third-level journey. Our scholars also gain access to paid summer work placements, giving them hands-on experience at one of Ireland’s leading manufacturing facilities.
Last year’s recipients, Clodagh Doyle and Darragh McCarville, have already started to reap the rewards of the programme. Clodagh, now studying Actuarial Science at UCD, and Darragh, pursuing Mechanical Engineering at ATU Galway, both received mentoring from our CFO Noel Culbert and Industrial Engineering Manager Stephen McSharry. These relationships have provided them with valuable insight into their fields, helping to guide them as they transition from school to university.
Who Can Apply?
We’re looking for passionate and motivated students who are ready to take the next step toward a successful career in science, engineering, or business. The scholarship is open to Leaving Certificate students living in or attending school in County Cavan who are planning to pursue a relevant degree at a third-level institution in Ireland or Northern Ireland.

How to Apply
Applications for the Kyte Powertech Scholarship 2025 are now open. To apply, simply visit www.kytepowertech.com/kyte-scholarship, where you can find all the details about the application process.
Applicants will need to submit a personal statement outlining their goals and why they’re passionate about their chosen field, as well as a reference from a teacher, guidance counsellor, or mentor. Proof of application to a third-level course will also be required.
The deadline to apply is 7th July 2025.
