Process Variability Reduction and Automation
The Role & Purpose
Kyte has introduced two robotic welders to the plant which are functioning and producing. To really bring the effect of this investment to life, Kyte requires further programming and examination of the metal parts factory and design for manufacture concepts to reduce variability both in design and manufacturing achieving maximum efficiency, consistency, quality and reliability.
Role & Responsibilities
- Learn to master the robot programming.
- Enter new design programs and make recommendations for further expansion of suitable product.
- Collect and analyze manufacturing variability data for raw materials to the robot to increase efficiency.
- Monitor and determine root causes of variability issues and implement solutions.
- Analyse data using Six sigma techniques or FMEA.
- Plan and trial improvement process and measure and monitor achievements.
- Feasibility study of further automation throughout active parts and metal parts manufacture.
The Person
- Education to Advanced Certificate or higher in Robotics, Automation or Mechanical Engineering.
- Keen interest in manufacturing and technology
- Driven by improvement.
- Good interpersonal and communications skills
- Ability to take ownership of a project.

- Ability to execute problem solving techniques related to design/technical issues.

New Product Introduction Engineer
The Role & Purpose
Kyte’s ability to design and engineer new product for new and emerging renewable markets has soared. Exciting new developments, new designs and new techniques are required to manufacture the process. This engineer with work with R&D new concepts and designs building a clear process of steps to be taken from R&D to protype preparation through to manufacture. This person will anticipate the manufacturing needs for new designs.
Role & Responsibilities
- Manage the allocated project through structured gated process from R&D to prototype and
- to production-handover.
- Give support to Plan, coordinate, implement and finalize manufacturing projects according to specifications while maintaining the project performance indices: Quality – Cost – Delivery
- Technical decisions/guidance of projects requirements to sub-Suppliers.
- These include (but not limited to); tool and fixture manufacturing designs, machining
- requirements, drawings, CAD models, Contract/Condition of Supply requirements.
- Support of production line tooling and equipment to support manufacturing processes.
- Lead team meetings to facilitate communication between organizations and functions.
The Person
- Education to Advanced Certificate or higher in Industrial, Manufacturing or Mechanical Engineering.
- Keen interest in manufacturing technology and machine capabilities.
- Project orientated and ability to conceptualize and plan project from drawings.
- Clear communicator and ability to liaise with potential suppliers to achieve best solution.
- Good interpersonal and communications skills
- Ability to take ownership of a project.
- Ability to execute problem solving techniques related to design/technical issues.

Lean Manufacturing Engineer
The Role & Purpose
To bring the latest learning and Lean Manufacturing concepts into Kyte Powertech’s manufacturing and management processes. Using Six Sigma and Lean techniques to analyse problems and troubleshoot bottlenecks. Bring visual management, 5S, process flows and study value streams within the plant for increased safety, quality and productivity. Work with our in-house Master Black Belt and other Lean champions to pilot programs and embed success.
Role & Responsibilities
- Develop lean expertise by working with lean champions in departments and assist less senior lean team members to apply and execute lean principles and tools.
- Monitor Lean team & tool use.
- Deliver organization’s lean training modules.
- Coach operations, support and lean teams to apply lean materials flow principles to enhance material flow.
- Prioritise safety and quality in executing assigned duties and communicating lean principles to employees.
- Train and support continuous improvement within departments to determine and eliminate waste & provide support as organisation’s lean advocate.
- Engage in establishing goals for lean execution and value stream improvement.
- Support high priority projects to attain desired scope and outcome
- Verifies how non-conformance is documented and samples to eliminate 7 wastes and utilise CAPA

- Education to Advanced Cert or higher in Lean, Six Sigma, Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering.
